About Me

Hello there! I’m Fabio, the founder of Cell Voices Consulting.

I am a highly technical expert at the intersection of computer science, data science, biology, and medicine. I have a background in physics and mathematics and have a passion for solving hard problems to improve scientific, medical, and industry practices.

I lead a team of researchers in data driven biomedicine at UNSW Sydney, Australia and have an international reputation as Free Open Source Software developer.

Associate Professor - UNSW Sydney

I am an Associate Professor and head of the Data Driven Biomedicine lab at UNSW Sydney, Australia.

My research team focuses on single-cell analysis of disease, development, and evolution.

I have an extensive network of domestic and international collaborators including from Stanford University, University of California San Francisco, Leiden University, and Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology.

I founded the Data Driven Biomedicine research group at UNSW to understand how different cells within a tissue contribute to physiology, development, and disease.
Postdoctoral researcher - Stanford University
Jan 2016 - Sept 2019
I developed new bioengineering approaches to understand viral infections with single cell resolution, in vitro and ex vivo.
June 2011 - Sept 2015

I led a foundational study aimed at understanding the population genomics of human viruses, in particular HIV.

I also developed the HIVEVO web platform.

Pricing

Initial session
**Free** (30 mins). I will listen to your situation and request and give an initial assessment.
Online session
AUD 200 (1 hour). I will give expert advice on a specific project, discuss problems, and suggest practical solutions in line with the available resources, skills, and funding.
Online + offline session
AUD 400 (1 hour online, 1 hour offline). I will perform a high-intensity, confidential strategic review of a specific project, including preliminary data analytics and visualisation (data must be available in a reasonable format). I will then discuss the results in an online meeting with the mission to help the customer identify the most promising way forward.
